The object of research is monocrystalline, film and nanostructured broadband semiconductors and polymers, as well as composite materials based on them. The aim of the work is to create multifunctional nanostructured, composite and impurity-modified systems of a new type based on wide bandgap semiconductors and polymers, which will combine the properties of different classes of materials and can be simultaneously used in various branches of functional electronics. Research methods – atomic force and electron microscopy, X-ray microanalysis, optical spectroscopy, electrometry. Composite photocatalysts based on graphene oxide bilayer and ZnO nanostructures have been developed and patented. The use of a graphene oxide bilayer synergistically interacting with a layer of ZnO nanostructures made it possible to increase the photocatalytic activity by approximately 15%. When methyl orange was used as a model pollutant, the created composite photocatalyst had an order of magnitude higher rate constant of the photodegradation reaction than its analogs. A method of manufacturing a thin layer luminescent system for express measurements of luminescence spectra of powder or single crystal luminophores has been developed. LEDs based on p-GaN film/n-ZnO nano-/microrods quasiarray were fabricated. The results obtained in the scientific research work are implemented in the Research and Production Enterprise “Electron-Karat” and through the conclusion of grant agreements with the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
