Physicochemical bases of technology for obtaining semiconductor films of cadmium chalcogenides (CdX (X = S, Se) and solid solutions based on them) and metal oxides (ZnO: X, X = Al, In, Ga) have been developed. Electronic energy diagrams of semiconductor thin films of cadmium chalcogenides (CdX (X = S, Se) and solid solutions based on them) and metal oxides (ZnO doped with group III elements) were calculated. The structural, morphological, optical properties of deposited thin films have been studied by experimental and theoretical methods. The results of X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the formation of compounds of AIIBVI group. The parameters of the unit cell are established. Morphology images of the film surfaces showed the formation of homogeneous films with a uniform grain distribution. The results of research and analysis of optical transmission and reflection spectra of AIIBVI compounds are presented. The dynamics of changes in the optical characteristics of the synthesized CdS, CdSe films depending on the physicochemical methods of synthesis is analyzed. Based on the experimental results, the spectral behavior of the optical functions (refractive index, absorption coefficient, extinction coefficient and dielectric functions) and the optical band gap were determined.
