Implementation to antiviral and antimicrobial therapy popup.stage_title Head Lozovskyi Valerii Z., Доктор фізико-математичних наук Registration Date 17-12-2021 Organization Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv popup.description2 The object of research is nanosystems of metal nanoparticles of different structure (homogeneous material and bimetallic) and material (nanoparticles of gold, silver, and bimetallic nanoparticles such as alloy of gold and silver in different) and extracellular viruses. The subject of research is the interaction of bioobjects with nanoparticles, in particular near-field interactions as a basis for the virulent action of nanoparticles. The aim of this part of the Project is a systematic interdisciplinary experimental and theoretical determination of the interaction in the studied systems of structure (homogeneous material and bimetallic) and composition (gold, silver nanoparticles, and bimetallic alloy nanoparticles of alloy and silver different in gold) nanoparticles. The work was performed by a group of scientists from various fields of natural sciences, so the research methodology includes the use of modern methods of analyzing the properties of colloidal solutions, microbiological research methods and theoretical methods of studying the physics of nanosystems. Theoretical studies of the interactions of nanoparticles with bioobjects are based on the local field method in the concept of effective susceptibility, previously developed by the authors, for calculations we use the finite-difference methods for solving integro-differential equations and Simpson's method for numerical integration. All calculations are performed using scripts written by the authors using the Python programming language. Nanoparticles in colloidal solutions are studied by spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, transmission electron microscopy. Biological experiments include the use of virological (titration method, MTT method), molecular biological (cell monolayer synthesis, cell staining), microbiological (study of the stability of microbiological cultures), spectrophotometric and statistical methods.
