The electron density was determined using Stark broadening of the working gas He II spectral lines and impurity lines NII. Maximum values of plasma electron density were determined - Ne (He II) = (0.5-1)*1017 cm-3 and Ne (N II) = (1.5-4 *1018 cm-3. Experimental research on surface modifications of stainless-steel (Eurofer) grades was performed within pulsed plasma compressor MPC facility. The samples of Eurofer (Cr-9.7%, Mn-%0.4, Fe-89.6%) ferritic/martensitic-steels covered by tungsten coatings were treated within the the MPC magneto-plasma compressor also. The preliminary tungsten coatings were deposited by a PVD method. A detailed structural analysis of the initial surface of materials, steel substrate with W-coating and plasma-modified samples, as well as the roughness and microhardness of all samples have been performed.
