Research methods: a systematic approach to the analysis of existing problems of urban development; comparative analysis of the problems of urban development of megacities and the city of Kyiv and ways to solve them; local method of using the experience of the United States and Asia to solve problems of urban development and project implementation; method of scientific abstraction in order to implement foreign experience to modern conditions of development of Kyiv. Results and their novelty: research of innovative methods of solving problems of urban development; identifying opportunities to adapt innovative projects in Kyiv in order to accelerate socio-economic development, attract investment, solve energy saving problems, form a positive image of the city in the international arena, disseminate information about the city among potential investors, establish contacts with foreign partners in the field of social -economic development of capitals. Ways to popularize alternative energy sources in Kyiv have been found. Proposals for the creation of an automated infrastructure for separate waste collection for further recycling have been developed. Methods and normative base for introduction of innovative media film for advertising on windows are offered. Ways to use solid fuel boilers with biofuels in communal facilities have been invented.
