The synthesized plasma electrolytic layers on light alloys work most effectively in tandem with a galvanized chrome coating, where wear and coefficient of friction are the smallest. In a pair of friction with a steel ball, high wear resistance is provided due to the occurrence of the phenomenon of selective transfer, due to the presence of copper in the structure of the synthesized layer. In a pair of friction with a ceramic ball, the highest wear resistance is ensured by the presence of a high-strength Al2TiO5 phase in the structure of the synthesized layer. The abrasive wear resistance of the plasma electrolyte layer increases when it is alloyed with copper, nickel or titanium - αCuAl2O3, αNiAl2O3, αTiAl2O3, with a quantitative content of alloying elements (5 ... 15 μm in diameter) - 5 ... 12% and B4C and SiC carbides - up to 10%.
