Podgorny Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 In the work the mathematical model of thermal processes in ventilated containers of spent nuclear fuel (SNF) was improved, which takes into account the influence of various external factors on the thermal state of SNF at normal and accident operating conditions. Regression dependences for the main safety criteria depending on operating conditions are found. Using the created models and methods, calculations were performed and data on the thermal state of spent fuel and main storage equipment in different operating conditions were obtained for the first time. A multi-stage methodology for solving the problem of finding the optimal location of spent fuel containers taking into account the given technological constraints, at all stages of which nonlinear optimization methods and modern NLP-solvers are used. The results are implemented into the educational process of Bachelors in the specialty 144-Heat Power Engineering of V.Karazin Kharkiv National University.
