The addition of the component allows to increase the anti-inflammatory activity of the composition by 3.5 times. “Hairy” roots have been shown to have the potential to produce compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The use of an aqueous-ethanol mixture (70%) allowed to obtain an extract containing a high concentration of polyphenolic compounds, in particular epicatechin, luteolin and kaempferol 3,090, 4,320 and 4,401 mg / g, respectively. Significant amounts of gallic (6.103 mg / g), caffeic acid (7.001 mg / g), quercetin-7-O-glucoside (6.710 mg / g), apigenin-7-O-glucoside (5.109 mg / g) were detected. The studied extract had a high level of antioxidant activity (EC50 = 0.174 mg). The extract showed anti-inflammatory activity, which was significantly higher than that of diosmin in the reaction of inhibition of 15-lipoxygenase activity, respectively, IC50 = 84.13 ± 7.22 and 244.75 ± 19.91 μM. The diosmin: desperidin: chicory complex in the ratio 9: 1: 2 showed a synergistic effect in the reaction to inhibit 15-lipoxygenase activity, the IC50 was 69.82 ± 4.56 μM and was 3.5 times lower than when using the standard diosmin composition + hesperidin, which is used in medicines in tablet form. The diosmin: hesperidin: chicory complex in a ratio of 9: 1: 2 can be used to create a new drug (suppository) with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect.
