A pilot set of samples of borosilicate glass matrices containing a simulator of a bottom residue has been made. It has been established that the best parameters of corrosion resistance are demonstrated by borosilicate glass matrices, which are welded from a mixture of a simulated bottom residue containing sodium and boron, and quartz sand with the addition of lead oxide and calcium fluoride. It is shown that high corrosion properties of glass matrices are achieved due to the formation of a dense protective layer on the surface of glass matrix samples during leaching. According to XRD analysis, this contact layer is X-ray amorphous (crystalline phases are absent). Simulated γ-irradiation up to the absorbed dose of 104 and 105 Gy of glass-matrix samples does not lead to mechanical destruction. Also, no changes are observed in the structure and phase composition of the samples after irradiation. IR spectrometric studies have shown that after γ-irradiation of the lead-borosilicate matrix samples, the intensity of the main bands associated with Si-O-Si vibrations decreases and an insignificant shift to the low-frequency region is observed due to a decrease in the degree of bonding of the silicon-oxygen framework. Based on the analysis performed, it has been established that the most optimal matrix for immobilization of the bottom residue simulator is a lead-borosilicate matrix. Considering that this glass matrix contains 45 weight % of simulators of liquid waste residues and is characterized by high corrosion and radiation resistance, it should be considered promising for immobilization of liquid waste residues.   Product Description popup.authors Zykova Anna V Sayenko Sergiy Yu popup.nrat_date 2021-12-22 Close
