It was found that pre-treatment of plant seeds with nitric oxide donor (sodium nitroprusside) leads to changes in root growth parameters, which is observed as the stimulation of this process. Determination of the intracellular localization of nitric oxide in plant roots was conducted by means of specific fluorescent probe. It was also found that the development of autophagy in root cells under microgravity exhibits time-dependent dynamics and tissue specificity. The results of transcriptional analysis confirm α- and β-tubulin genes participation in the development of autophagy induced by clinostating. Co-expression between the atg8 and tua genes, as well as between the tua and tub genes, has been identified, that may confirm the joint involvement of these genes in the realization of microgravity-induced autophagy.
