Based on mathematical modeling of energy supply and consumption processes in RES-based systems, a generalized model of coordinated operation of generating equipment with storage subsystem is built. A method for selecting the type and capacity of renewable energy sources, parameters of control systems and storage of electricity for hybrid autonomous power supply systems with RES has been developed. The peculiarities of the use of rechargeable batteries are determined and the parameters influencing the power storage system on the balancing of the combined power system, which includes wind turbines, photovoltaic converters, electric power batteries and backup power supply, are substantiated. The method of calculation of the complex power unit taking into account the local potential of RES and the choice of automatic control and protection for hybrid autonomous power supply systems with RES is given.
