To irradiate structural materials with helium ions (120 KeV), an irradiation chamber is included in the transport line. In order to increase the current of helium ions accelerated to 4 MeV, the variants of matching the emitance of the ion beam from the injector with the acceptance of the accelerating structure were investigated. It is shown that the use of a solenoid is optimal for our case. The calculated value of the current of accelerated helium ions up to 4 MeV for the line with the focusing solenoid is 4.5 mA. The process of extraction and formation of a proton beam from a plasma source has been studied. The properties of many electrode axially symmetric electrostatic lenses as a transport and matching device of the linear ion accelerator injector (MLUD-3 ion accelerator) have been studied. The results of the calculation of the five-element lens to be used on the MLUD-3 accelerator are presented. The concept of building a channel of radiation-pure linear proton accelerator with a combination of space-compatible alternative phase focusing and quadrupole magnetic focusing is proposed. Experimental fission rates of natural uranium and thorium in a deeply subcritical uranium target when irradiated with deuterons (4 GeV) compared with the results of calculations (MCNPX code 2.7, Monte Carlo method). Good agreement between experimental and theoretical results is shown. Experimentally measured (DESY) absolute cross-sections of K-ionization of Ti, Cu atoms by electrons with energies of 1 and 2 GeV. It has been experimentally shown that the use of an external electron emitter can increase the intensity of X-rays from a miniature piezoelectric accelerator by 2 orders of magnitude. The investigation of piezoelectric and pyroelectric miniature accelerators properties, as can be used to calibrate DarkSide Collaboration detector Product Description popup.authors Vdovin Sergsij O.
