Registration Date 24-12-2021 Organization Physico-Mechanical Institute named after GV Karpenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 It is shown that a material sintered from fine-grained nickel powder is promising for the production of anodes of high-temperature fuel cells. On the basis of experimental data of strength of nickel anode material the technological mode of its processing is optimized. The duration of the oxidation stage was determined to be 90 minutes. as the best to ensure stable conditions of redox treatment of this material. At the oxidation stage, an increase in the strength of the material was achieved (the average level is 36.3 MPa) for its duration of 90 minutes. The inexpediency of its further oxidation due to the appearance of a stress gradient and the formation of microcracks, which reduces the strength of the material and leads to the loss of structural integrity of the anode, is substantiated. Experimental kinetic dependences of the specific surface resistance (ASR) of the Nickel anode on the temperature in the operating temperature range of the fuel cell of the SCRC 20–600 ° С for heating and cooling cycles in air at an applied load of 49.05 N and 245.25 N, corresponding to stress levels in bulk material 0.09 MPa and 0.45 MPa. It was found that at 600 ° С at a voltage of 0.45 MPa the specific surface resistance (ASR) of the nickel anode is 2.3–3 times lower than at a voltage of 0.09 MPa.
