Porous carbon nitride (g-C3N4) was obtained by simple pyrolysis of urea and melamine sponge. Photosensitive nanocomposites TiO2 / C3N4 and SnO2 / C3N4 were obtained from an emulsion of methyl alcohol and C3N4. Nanocomposites, heterostructures based on semiconducting metal oxides, sulfides and selenides (Ti, Zn, Cd), partially opened nanotubes, bismuth and copper vanadates, and multilayer heterostructures based on them have been synthesized. Their photoelectrochemical and photoelectrocatalytic properties have been studied. A thermochemical synthesis of a hybrid nanocomposite with partially opened carbon nanotubes and C3N4 has been developed for the first time. The design of an experimental sample of a photoelectrochemical cell for obtaining and storing hydrogen has been optimized. Tests of an experimental photoelectrochemical cell for hydrogen storage have been carried out.
