Structural studies showd that final annealing at 700 ° C and 800 ° C leads to the formation of two-phase structure. Annealing at 900 ° C leads to the formation of a single-phase state in the form of a solid solution with a bcc lattice and average grain sizes of 68 and 52 μm. When the samples were kept in a lead coolant for 500 and 1000 hours at a temperature of 500 ° C, it was established that the diffusion of oxygen into the titanium matrix of the alloys leads to the formation of an oxide film on the melt-alloy interface, which serves as a barrier for further lead penetration. The thickness of the formed oxide layer on the surface of the alloys is the same or less than that of the previously investigated reactor steels, which indicates their high corrosion resistance. It was found that the main mechanism that determines the strength of the studied alloys is solid solution hardening. The Ti60Cr11Al7 Nb11V11 alloy showed higher strength values. The developed alloy after optimal heat treatment at high strength characteristics has high plasticity, which is several times higher than the plasticity of known high-temperature titanium alloys. Obtained results indicate the prospect of using multicomponent titanium alloys as materials in new generation nuclear reactors.
