The purpose of the work is to improve the scientific and scientific-technical activities of scientific institutions, scientific subdivisions of higher military educational institutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military educational subdivisions of higher education institutions through the introduction of information support system. Research methods are based on the principles of military-technical analysis, systems analysis, methods of comparison and analogy, generalization and systematization of theoretical knowledge; as well as on the methods of idealization and abstraction. The main results of research work are: the analysis of the state and prospects of development of information support of scientific and scientific-technical activity of scientific institutions and higher military educational establishments on the example of the National University of Defense of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovsky is carried out; the list of tasks of information support of scientific and scientific-technical activity of scientific institutions and higher military educational establishments, which are subject to automation, is substantiated; developed requirements for the system of information support of scientific and scientific-technical activities of scientific institutions and higher military educational institutions; the general characteristic of the system of information support of scientific and scientific-technical activity of scientific institutions and higher military educational establishments with the indication of its purpose, main tasks and structure is given; proposals for normative and legal documents on information support of scientific and scientific-technical activity of scientific institutions.
