The object of research is heat and mass transfer processes during drying of composite raw materials based on peat, obsolete sludge and biomass. The subject of research is types of raw materials, in particular milling peat, obsolete sludge, buckwheat husk, wood waste (sawdust) and their composite mixtures, technologies and equipment for the production of granular solid alternative fuels and biofuels. The aim of the research is to experimentally substantiate the complex processing of sludge into granular alternative fuel. Accumulated sludge is obsolete, as a result it has lost most of its nutrients, has become too mineralized and is practically unsuitable for direct production of biofuels. The research is devoted to the development of a unified approach to the efficient processing of sludge sludge with the addition of flammable fillers such as milling peat, buckwheat husk, wood waste (sawdust). The use of composite mixtures in the form of granules with the optimal ratio of components allows to solve rational problems of the problem of gradual elimination of huge volumes of obsolete sludge from sewage treatment plants.
