Increased anthropogenic eutrophication of reservoirs and watercourses contributes to the spread of invasive hydrophytes characterized by eurytopicity. The exception is the invasion of Elodea canadensis, which due to the increase in water trophism against the background of over-regulation of watercourses, can be considered as regressive. The structural and dynamic characteristics of Eichornia crassipes, the development of which first took place in reservoirs near Kyiv, are analyzed. The ecological preferences of both Pistia stratiotes and Eichornia crassipes for trophic type are within meso-eutrophic waters, where they form more numerous and productive coenopopulations. The variability of variations in morphometric and production parameters of these species in the middle of local populations indicates their plasticity in the region of research and the first stages of invasions. The formation of stable local populations in the conditions of natural watercourses and floodplains is forecasted. The study of variability of morphological characteristics of populations of Echinocystis lobata in different ecological conditions showed that the most variable characteristics of the species are the number of fruits, and low values of the coefficient of variation are characteristic of leaf width and number of inflorescences. It is established that the populations of Impatiens glandulifera in different ecological conditions are characterized by the most variable features of the species: the number of leaves and the number of generative organs. As a result of initial research on the chorology and morphology of species, a high invasive potential for Echinocystis lobata and an average level of invasiveness for Impatiens glandulifera.
