The object of research is the molecular mechanisms of heart damage in the development of diabetes and heart failure. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of omega 3 PUFAs and quercetin on the level of expression of genes that regulate pathological processes in the myocardium of experimental animals in models of heart failure and diabetes. Research methods - molecular biological methods for determining the level of expression of genes and proapoptotic protein of cytochrome C in the myocardium of animals. Conclusions. The expression of genes CYP2E1, MYC, ILR, IL6, Col 1, that regulate pathological processes in the myocardium of animals with heart failure and diabetes was studied and the modulating effect of omega-3 PUFA and quercetin on their level was shown. Molecular targets of the influence of the studied compounds in the development of heart failure of different pathogenesis have been identified.
