A selective Сu/MgO-ZrO2 catalyst for hydrogenolysis of glucose to propylene glycol has been found. An effective SnO2–ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst was found for the production of ethyl and methyl lactates from alcohol solutions of fructose. It has been shown that Amberlyst 15 and KU 2 8 sulfocationites effectively catalyze the double cyclodehydration of D sorbitol to isosorbide. It has been shown that sulfocationite KU 2 8 effectively catalyzes the formation of ethanol and butanol glucoside and their transesterification with n-octanol to octylglucoside.
