Kukhar Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  New nanocomposites of carbon nanotubes and poly (3-methylthiophene) (CNT-P3MT) doped with plasticizing dodecylbenzenesulfonate, perfluorooctanoate, and Cl- anions were synthesized and investigated. For the synthesized nanocomposites, the core-shell structure was established. Analysis of the electronic and infrared spectra of nanocomposites showed the formation of an intermolecular charge transfer complex between CNT and P3MT, with a corresponding loss of doping anion. Their thermal stability, crystal structure and electrical conductivity were studied. The possibility of their use in chemoresistive gas sensors and as components of materials for electromagnetic shielding is shown. In particular, it was found that increasing the content of P3MT in nanocomposites leads to an increase in the strength of their sensory responses to volatile organic compounds, but neat P3MT gives weak responses.
