The goal of the work – development of optical-acoustic technology for layered composites non-destructive testing and diagnosis by methods and means of speckle-metrology to establish relationships between subsurface (hidden) defects (stratifications, non-adhesives, cracks, wrinkling) geometric parameters, acoustic wave parameters (type, frequency, amplitude, duration) and local deformations caused by it. During the project fulfilment, an optical-acoustic system breadboard model for composite structural elements non-destructive testing will be created and the proposed technology experimental testing will be carried out. Second stage – experimental approbation of optical-acoustic technology for layered composites control and diagnostics and experimental breadboard model creation for its realization. New mathematical models for the propagation of an elastic wave in a flat layer with an interphase defect at the boundary of its rigid connection with the half-space and its scattering on internal defects (inhomogeneities) and the impact on the material surface have been developed. In particular, a mathematical model that describes adequately the diffraction interaction between existing defects in the material and with its surface. A new optical-acoustic method for detection, localization and identification of internal defects in layered composites and a corresponding system for its implementation are proposed. Preliminary documentation for the production and such optical-acoustic system breadboard model have been developed.
