Computational models have been built to simulate the behavior of a high-strength material Armox 500T during static and dynamic punching tests. The Johnson-Cook material model was used. Calculations were made for three types of punches: hemispherical, flat and conical. A series of calculations was carried out using FE models with different sizes of finite elements - 50 μm, 100 μm and 200 μm to analyze the convergence of the results obtained. Based on the results of the calculations, it was found that with an increase in the speed of punch movement from 0.05 m/s to 1 m/s, the maximum load and punching depth before destruction increase when all types of punches are used. Test tests for static punching of plate specimens made of high-strength steel Armox 500T have been carried out. The obtained results are comparable with the results of numerical calculations.
