Purpose of work – the creation of a scheme of the development of palaeocryogenesis in the Middle Pleistocene and the characterisation of structural and plastic deformations in the loess-palaeosol sequences, their diagnostic features based on the study of key sections. Research methods – field – lithostratigraphic, malacological, geomorphological, remote sensing; analysis, synthesis, generalization, etc. Results and novelty: first: the Middle Pleistocene palaeocryogenic structures of different types and ages have been comprehensively studied, their classification has been developed, the role of palaeocryogenesis in the preservation and redeposition of Palaeolithic cultural horizons has been determined; improved: scheme of the development of palaeocryogenesis in the loess-palaeosol sequences of the Middle Pleistocene; got further development: field expeditionary researches on studying of sections of periglacial loess-palaeosol sequences with the palaeocryogenic structures developed within it; use of a quadcopter to study the palaeocryogenesis of Volhyn-Podillia. Implementation of the results of SRW. The results of research of stage 2 for 2021 will be used in the subsequent stages of research on the project, as well as implemented in the educational process of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, which allow them to be used in the education of bachelors, masters and graduate students in Geography and Earth Sciences. One master's thesis, one candidate's dissertation was defended, one more was recommended for defense. One monograph, four articles in professional publications of Ukraine, three articles (Scopus/WoS), five conference proceedings and abstracts were prepared and published.
