Subject of research is changes in time and space of landscapes under the influence of the reservoir. Investigation of assess the temporal and spatial changes in the hydromorphic landscapes of the islands and the coast of the Kaniv Reservoir which have significant environmental and recreational value have been conducted. A series of electronic maps showing such changes for the entire period of operation of the reservoir has been compiled. Research to identify the areas most affected by the reservoir on coastal and island landscapes (erosion, flooding, waterlogging, infrastructure destruction) and quantified their areas have been conducted. The role and development of ravines on the coast and their participation in the fragmentary formation of hydromorphic landscapes along steep cliffs are noted. On the low left bank, the banks have been reshaped in the area from the Kyiliv village to the Rzhyshchiv military training ground where large areas have been set aside for fishing, hunting and recreational activities, as a result of which the wetlands are reduced. Peculiarities of lithomorphogenesis and soil formation on reservoir islands have been studied to predict these processes in the future.
