The energy density in the plasma reached 3 MJ/m2, which is close to the energy values expected in the devertor flows of fusion reactors. The formation of solid and liquid particles was investigated by successive oblique effects of plasma on various selected segmented edges of the structure. It was found that the majority of W droplets are ejected from the sharp leading edge of the target due to the development of instabilities at the plasma-liquid interface. At the same time, the formation of solid dust particles is preferentially explained by cracking during surface cooling after the plasma pulse. The velocity of the particles reached tens of m/s. The maximum particle size reached tens of micrometers. The measurement of the energy absorbed by additive tungsten surfaces is close to the energy absorbed by solid tungsten. The results will be used to improve the design of three-dimensional protective structures as well as to improve numerical codes for predicting damage to plasma-contacting surfaces.
