Research methods – measurement of absorption, photo- and X-ray luminescence spectra of nanosystems in the presence of chitosan, and generation of luminescence of singlet oxygen upon their excitation. Results and novelty – The absorption, photo- and X-ray luminescence, as well as the luminescence of singlet oxygen were studied in nanosystems of “hafnium oxide nanoparticles / polystyrene nanoparticles / chlorine e6”, “silver nanoparticles on DNA / berberine”, and “nanoparticles of fullerene-containing nanosilica with incorporated palladium ions / DNA ” with chitosan. It was shown that chitosan forms complexes with components of the studied nanosystems.
