Objectives are to determine the fundamental principles of SOW conversion and the construction of autonomous cogeneration power plants. Methods of research are standard methods for studying SOW and new methods for developing processes in autonomous power plants. The analysis of modern hydrogen energy technologies is carried out. The results of research on the first and second stages of the project are summarized. The high-temperature catalytic reactor (HCR) for the conversion of high-molecular compounds (HMC) was used: in the mode of steam catalytic reforming of methane with subsequent catalytic conversion of CO in a water shift reactor and sorption of CO2 in a CO2 absorption reactor to obtain Н2; for the production of activated carbon from charcoal in the process of partial steam catalytic gasification at a temperature of 750 °C with the removal of CO2 and obtaining H2. HCR with activated carbon and added Nickel catalyst was used to convert HMC in gas after gasifier-transformer (GTR). The operation of the GTR with HCR for the conversion of HMC for the operation with the electrochemical generator on solid oxide fuel cells has been optimized. The GTR with productivity for SOW up to 3 kg/h for operation in cogeneration units was created and tested. A new circuit for the integration of GTR into the system for producing carbon-free gas (mixture of H2 and N) for the operation of low-temperature hydrogen proton exchange membrane fuel cells has been developed and optimized. Technical and economic calculations of new basic technological schemes of conversion of SOW into hydrogen-rich synthesis gas and pure hydrogen for the use in energy and chemical industries are carried out.
