Litvinenko Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine popup.description2 Object of study. New carbenoid compounds, reactions of carbenes, their derivatives for biological tests. The purpose of the work is the synthesis of new carbenoid compounds, carbene derivatives. Study of their antimicrobial properties. Research methods - synthetic, spectral (NMR spectroscopy), analytical (chromatographic, elemental analysis), computational (quantum chemical research), biological. Research results: The directions of transformations of nucleophilic carbenes generated in situ, including three-component reactions, with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate, dimethyl maleate, phenylisothiocyanate have been studied. New carbenoid compounds, their derivatives on the basis of imidazol-2-ylidenes, benzimidazol-2-ylidenes, 1,2,4-triazol-5-ylidenes, fluoro-substituted carbenes, macrocyclic systems were synthesized. Spirocyclic and zwitterionic compounds, carbene complexes of copper (I), silver, palladium were obtained. Possibilities of asymmetric carbene reactions have been studied. The thermal effects of carbene reactions with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate were calculated by the DFT method. The synthesized compounds are promising for the search of new antimicrobial and antitumor compounds. Field of application - preparative synthesis of carbenoid compounds and their derivatives.
