The statistical characteristics of the water supply processes on a closed irrigation system (CIS) have been determined to substantiate the principles of self-regulation during the modernization of the on-farm irrigation network with sprinklers (IM). The substantiation of the method of water supply to the irrigation network is presented, which makes possible the occurrence of disturbances in the canal caused by the change in the operating modes of the pumping stations (PS) of the CIS with the IM. The substantiation of the method for controlling water supply to the CIS is presented when using daily regulation basins (DRB) on them. A logical-mathematical model of the operational control of water supply to the CIS with a DRB is presented. A mathematical model has been developed in the MATLAB / Simulink environment. The mathematical model of the CIS consists of the following subsystems: a pumping station (PS) with pumping units (PU), a CIS with a IM, an auxiliary pipeline with a pressure regulator "towards itself" and a DRB. The water supply control at the inter-farm water distribution network from the DRB at the water intakes of the PS of the CIS has been substantiated. A new method for controlling machine water supply on a closed inter-farm water distribution network with a DRB at the water intakes of the mobile PS is presented, aimed at reducing the energy consumption of water supply for irrigation and ensuring reliable and continuous water supply to the irrigation network, subject to the use of differentiated metering of electricity. "Methodological recommendations for the modernization of irrigation systems" have been developed. The economic effect is achieved by expanding the irrigation area on existing irrigation systems by 15-20% and reducing the specific consumption of electricity for pumping water from the PS by 10-15%.
