Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  The aim of the study was to evaluate the possibilities and limitations of thermography to assess the severity of soft tissue injuries in thermal and other injuries and subsequent non-invasive monitor the wound during treatment, as well as to control the dynamics of thermal fields in the frozen area in real time. During treatment, a thermal imaging examination of 80 patients with soft tissue lesions was performed. As a result of quantitative and statistical analysis of thermal images, a prognostic method for estimating the healing potential by burn wound temperature in the acute period was proposed. Scientific information has been obtained on the parameters of abnormal thermal fields in intact and damaged skin areas and their relationship with impaired blood flow, inflammation and other pathological processes that accompany the healing of soft tissue wounds. Based on the obtained results, the "Thermal imaging procedure of analysis of thermal fields in thermal injury" was developed and the "Atlas of thermal images of thermal injury" was collected. The study of the thermal field dynamics on the skin of 30 experimental animals at cryo-effect was carried out using a specially developed thermal field analyzer with an extended range of measured temperatures. The amplitude-time parameters of the skin thermal field caused by cryoexposure were obtained. The possibility of the successful use of thermography at all stages of treatment of soft tissue lesions, as well as intraoperative control of the spread of the frozen zone and the necrosis zone during skin cryodestruction has been demonstrated. The results of the study were published in the journal "Cryobiology" and presented at 2 international conferences (2021). Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2022-03-09 Close
