New derivatives of 5-amino-1,3-oxazole-4-carbonitrile have been synthesized and their effect on a number of cancer cell lines has been studied, and the relationship between the structure and activity of these compounds has been studied. Asymmetric synthesis of (RS)- and (RR)-S-alkyl-substituted cysteine sulfoxides was performed. New approaches to the construction of cholinesterase inhibitors have been developed, and new O-substituted N-benzyl structural analogs of vitamin B1 have been synthesized and studied, which can effectively and selectively block the activity of acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase, which are targets for Alzheimer's disease. The directions of construction of potentially bioactive nitro derivatives of aurons as new antioxidants and xanthine oxidase inhibitors was substantiated. The properties of new derivatives of rhodanine as inhibitors of glutathione-S-transferase and protein tyrosine phosphatases were established. The biological activity of a number of nitrogenous heterocycles on plant model systems was analyzed and this activity was compared with natural phytohormones cytokinins.
