Purpose: to carry out a comprehensive interdisciplinary study of Ukraine's labor potential and to develop practical recommendations on the mechanism of its preservation and development, taking into account world experience. Research methods: historical, dialectical, dogmatic, comparative, structural-logical, static, graphic methods, method of analysis, synthesis and generalization, method of questionnaire, content analysis, as well as methods of comparative geographical and correlation analysis, method of ranks . Empirical data were collected during the surveys through questionnaires (google forms) and focus group discussions; the content analysis method was used to process, analyze and summarize the obtained sociological data. Deductor was used to cluster and build Kohonen's self-organization maps. The necessity of a comprehensive approach to the implementation of state policy in the field of preservation and development of labor potential of Ukraine: in terms of law, economics, demography, migration, education and health. Proposals for improving public policy in the labor market in the context of digitalization and the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic based on an interdisciplinary approach have been identified. There are proposals to improve labor legislation, introduce effective mechanisms to combat mobbing and discrimination, the use of social dialogue. Economic and socio-psychological factors have been identified that will help curb emigration and create favorable conditions in Ukraine in the labor market. The grouping of the regions of Ukraine on the basis of the analysis of demographic indicators is carried out, the results are presented cartographically. Measures aimed at improving the quality of higher education are outlined. It is proved that the state policy in the field of health care in Ukraine should be based on the insurance (mixed) model.
