The aim of the work is to conduct theoretical and applied research of systemic and communicative-discursive levels of Slavic languages in synchrony and diachrony. Research methods: theoretical – analysis of scientific linguistic literature on the research problem; general science – induction, deduction, analysis, synthesis; linguistic – descriptive, contextual-interpretive, observation. The scientific novelty: the idea of lexical universion in theoretical and applied aspects is specified and deepened; the principles of achronic word formation are substantiated; the typology of quasi-universion mechanisms is given; methods of creating a dictionary of universes and research of linguistic reflection are offered; it is proved that modern languages develop primarily as a result of the trend towards globalization; linguistic manifestations of this tendency in modern Slavic languages on the basis of Englishisms, covidlexics and transients are traced; the realization of text categories of reflexivity, coherence, dialogicity, etc. is investigated. in epistolary and electronic discourses; gained in-depth knowledge of relatively new for scientific circulation objects of research, namely: ego-texts and e-mails; the functional behavior of language units in different types of discourses is studied, namely: polyvocatives and neologisms – in epistolary; onyms and figurative means – in art, journalism and education; punctuation marks – in scientific and technical; the graphemes Y and I are in the chronicles; a significant contribution to improving the metalanguage of research on vocabulary, word formation and syntax of Slavic languages is made. The results of the study and conclusions can be used in further research on the patterns of development and functioning of modern Slavic languages.
