Given the duration of iron ore mining in this area, the scale of landscape transformation over the years of the quarry. Conditions will be created for further improvement of the ecological situation of the territory around the quarry of RUDOMINE LLC by effective management of the territories by improving the state of the environment. The results of the work will be used in the preparation of recommendations for the implementation of scientifically, environmentally sound approaches to all components of the environment. The purpose of the work is ecological assessment of environmental elements under the influence of man-made factors in order to monitor the ecological situation as a basis for taking measures of ecologically balanced functioning of the mining enterprise. As a result of office research and field work, the features of the modern chemical composition of the river water of the Saksagan River, which characterizes the Kryvyi Rih mining area as a whole, were determined. The correlation coefficient between the mercury content in soil and plant was the lowest among all metals and was 0.02; the correlation coefficient between the content of cadmium in soil and plant was the highest and amounted to 0.89, and lead - 0.61, respectively, which indicates a moderate correlation between the content of these metals in soil and plants.
