The research on this topic of R&D was conducted in view of the need to determine the legal preconditions for the introduction of integrity testing of police officers and provided proposals to address the legal gaps that exist today. General scientific and special methods of cognition were used for direct collection and processing of the necessary information, which ensured obtaining scientifically substantiated conclusions and proposals. In particular, such private scientific methods as: observation; modeling and abstraction; logical-semantic, comparative-legal, system-structural methods. The results of the study are aimed at improving the legislation and law enforcement practices on the integrity of police officers.
