The subject of the study was 458 patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Among them: with Idiopathic PAH / hereditary PAH - 98 (21.4%) patients, with PAH associated with connective tissue disease (CTD) - 28 (6.1%), with PAH associated with HIV infection - 11 (2.4%), with PAH associated with portal hypertension - 4 (0.87%), with PAH associated with congenital heart disease (CHD) - 200 (43.7%), with PH due to left heart disease - 20 (4.4%), PH due to lung disease and / or hypoxia - 13 (2.8%), chronic thromboembolic PH - 84 (18.3%). Objective: to investigate the predictors of unfavorable prognosis and survival of patients with different forms of PH, to assess pulmonary and systemic hemodynamics in patients with PAH and chronic thromboembolic PH, to study structural and functional disorders of the arteries of the large circle of blood circulation. Research methods: patients at the beginning of the study have: echocardiography; right heart catheterization with determination of pulmonary and systemic hemodynamics; analysis of arterial and mixed venous blood for acid-base status, measurements of cardio-ankle vascular index were performed; daily blood pressure monitoring; a pulse wave velosity on arteries of elastic and muscular types. Based on this work, a comparison of central and intracardiac hemodynamics in patients with PAH and chronic thromboembolic PH, determination of arterial stiffness index, cardio-ancle vascular index, in patients with idiopathic PAH, assessment of survival of patients with PH.
