The possibility of alloying the Eurofer steel surfaces with tungsten was shown. The concentration of tungsten reached more than 25 wt% in the surface layer up to 4 microns. The surface morphology developed predominantly by melting and re-solidification of the surface layer. The formation of small cellular structures with a cell size of 150-250 nm was detected as a result of pulsed plasma irradiation. Such formations can lead to the destruction of the surface layer of the material and significant dust emissions during plasma-surface interaction. It has been experimentally shown that the sputtering coefficient for plasma-modified samples and samples in the initial state are insignificantly different. At the same time, doping/mixing of the material substrate and the pre-applied tungsten coating leads to a 1.5- times decrease of sputtering rate. The effect of extreme thermal stresses on printed lattice tungsten samples was studied. Changes of microstructural morphology of lattice tungsten samples and dynamics of dust and material particles emission during irradiation by plasma flows were investigated.
