ZI Nekrasov of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The questions of the influence of charge materials, including the amount of secondary resources in the sinter charge, on the quality of the sinter and the content of sulfur and phosphorus in it have been studied. The operation of a blast furnace using pulverized coal and agglomerate with secondary resources has been investigated and the optimal ratio of fuel additives has been established. The choice of the most effective desulfurizing reagent - magnesium without additives for the implementation of a rational technology of desulfurization of cast iron in ladles - has been substantiated. Mathematical models have been created for calculating the specific costs of desulfurization of various reagents (magnesium or a mixture of magnesium and lime) depending on the conditions for implementing the technology, system parameters and requirements for the quality of cast iron. A pilot version of the software implementation of the obtained models in a software package has been developed and tested in specific industrial conditions on the basis of industrial data. The processes occurring in the cavity of the oxygen converter when oxygen jets come into contact with a metal bath have been studied for different variants of tuyere designs. The design of the location of the blowing lances in the bottom of the ladle has been improved. Based on the results of experimental studies and technical and economic calculations, a structural scheme has been developed for optimizing the end-to-end model of the technology for the production of high-quality oxygen-converter steel for the operating conditions of a metallurgical enterprise in various raw materials and energy conditions.
