The purpose of the work is scientific substantiation and empirical confirmation of the effectiveness of such a system of environmental taxes in Ukraine, which have a significant and direct impact on environmental, economic and energy security as components of national security and construction of individual trajectories of these taxes. The research used such methods as logical-historical, system-structural analysis, multifactor regression and correlation analysis, panel regression analysis, time series analysis, simulation modeling, panel regression analysis with fictitious variables, lag modeling, bibliometric analysis. Time lags for achieving the transmission effects of increasing levels of national security as a result of the introduction of environmental taxes have been formalized. The influence of different configurations of functional elements of environmental taxes on ensuring the level of national security is modeled. The methods of scenario analysis have established the optimal level and structure of environmental taxation in Ukraine to ensure an increase in the level of national security.
