Registration Date 10-01-2022 Organization Palladin Institute of Biochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Using the NR12S fluorescent probe, it has been shown that ticagrelor disrupted the outer lipid layer of the nerve terminals. Ticagrelor induced fusion of phosphatidylserine liposomes, Ticagrelor did not depolarize the plasma membrane of nerve terminals, but caused dissipation of the proton gradient of synaptic vesicles. The direct membranotropic and neurotropic effects of remdesivir were shown for the first time. The effect of remdesivir on the ordering of the outer lipid layer of the nerve terminals depended on their functional state. Remdesivir induced fusion of phosphatidylserine vesicles, caused depolarization of the plasma membranes and dissipation of the proton gradient of synaptic vesicles. Remdesivir increased bilayer lipid membrane (BLM) conductivity by forming stable potential-dependent unseltctive pores. Ticagrelor did not reveal changes in the conductivity of BLM. Remdesivir did not cause the development of excitotoxicity and the passive permeability of membranes for neurotransmitters. Decreased extracellular levels of [3H]GABA after remdesivir administration may weaken synaptic inhibition and alter the balance of excitatory and inhibitory signals. Ticagrelor did not affect transporter-mediated accumulation of neurotransmitters, the transporter-mediated release of [3H]GABA, the extracellular level of L-[14C]glutamate, the release of L-[14C]glutamate from nerve terminals by exocytosis. Ticagrelor decreased the release of [3H]GABA from nerve terminals by exocytosis and reduced transporter-mediated release of L-[14C]glutamate.  Product Description popup.authors Krysanova Nataliya V Panas Ihor Dankovych Pastukhov Artem O.
