Purpose: to increase the effectiveness of treatment of patients with papillary thyroid cancer with insulin resistance by developing technologies for individualized comprehensive antitumor treatment using metformin. Methods and equipment: clinical-instrumental, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, radiometric, dosimetric, statistical; enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay Immunochem-2100, dosimeter-radiometer-ISS "Tera". Theoretical and practical outcomes: supplemented scientific data on the incidence of IR in patients with PTSD at different stages of complex antitumor treatment. There was a significant increase in the HOMA-IR index for all patients with PD without IR in 1.2-1.4 times (t <1.96) in the dynamics of antitumor treatment between the first and second courses of radioiodine therapy. There was a significant decrease in the HOMA-IR index by 1.5 times, which amounted to 2.4–2.7 units, which corresponds to the reference value in all studied patients. It has been proved that in the group of patients with IR treated with metformin there was a decrease in glucose levels by 1.1–1.2 times, glycosylated hemoglobin by 1.1–1.3 times, C-peptide by 1.2–1, 4 times. Novelty: the peculiarity of the use of metformin in the complex antitumor treatment of patients with IBD with IR is substantiated. The evaluation of the effectiveness of complex antitumor treatment with metformin in patients with PD with IR is given. Effectiveness of implementation: scientific knowledge.
