The purpose of the work is to generalize and substantiate promising areas of prevention of anthropogenic pollution of water resources. Main results: The main parameters of homogeneous photocatalytic system, which provide maximum mineralization (85-98%) of humic acids, aspirin, analgin and minimize the formation of intermediate products of destruction, are determined. The scientific ground for selecting the most effective modes of photocatalytic oxidation of organic compounds of different nature in water with hydrogen peroxide to achieve high quality purified water and avoid its secondary pollution is created. The mechanism and conditions of dynamic membranes formation in the processes of microfiltration purification of water from Al (III) and Fe (III) compounds by a ceramic membrane (made with clay minerals), as well as modified (using shungite and glauconite) composite polyvinyl alcohol microfilter on a linen substrate are established. These membranes provide a 99.4-99.9% - removal of impurities. The quality of different types of drinking water by the method of complex biotesting using plant and animal test organisms of different trophic levels is assessed. The relationship between the total toxicity index and technological processes used in drinking water production is established.
