Research methods: neuropsychiatric, ophthalmological, psychodiagnostic, neuropsychological, neurophysiological, statistical. Radiation-associated cerebroophthalmic pathology is characterized by high neuropsychiatric and ophthalmic comorbidity, which increases in proportion to the radiation dose, and is mainly represented by chronic vascular-degenerative diseases of the brain and retinal detachment, which are characterized by radiation dose (in the distant period of radiation in adulthood) and disorders of the autonomic nervous system, certain signs of demyelination, non-psychotic organic mental disorders, neurotic, stress-related and somatoform disorders, as well as vascular and dystrophic processes in the retina (after exposure in utero). Characteristic neurocognitive deficits after irradiation in different radiological scenarios indicate the lateralization of the lesion to the left hemisphere of the brain. Neurophysiological basis - damage to the cortico-limbic system of the brain and the central mechanisms of afferent visual analyzer. Biomarkers of cerebral lesions have been identified for the first time using BDNF. The concept of radiation-associated cerebroophthalmological effects is defined. A new non-invasive neurophysiological technology for determining radiation-associated cerebroophthalmological effects has been proposed. Innovative diagnostic criteria of this pathology are developed, on the basis of modern neuropsychological and neurophysiological technologies (mapping of kEEG, VEPCP, cognitive VEP, BDNF).
