The aim of this stage is to choose lines of development of simple-hardware phase ambiguity resolution methods for microwave measurements of the displacement and the linear plasma electron density and a method of unique determination of the biconical cavity eigenfrequencies by simple computational methods, to analyze state-of-the art multiparameter data processing methods , and to study the trends in the development of neural network models and their use in microwave measurements. The investigation method is information-analytic. It is found that phase ambiguity resolution methods in microwave displacement measurements with account for the antenna reflection coefficient and microwave measurements of the linear plasma electron density should be developed for three-probe measurements using the phase unwrapping method based on analyzing the roots of the equation in the target reflection coefficient. It is found that a computationally-friendly method of unique determination of the biconical cavity eigenfrequencies should be developed using the overlapping domain decomposition method in combination with the collocation method. It is found that the methods most suitable for radiophysical motion sensing data processing and analysis are maximum likelihood methods, robust methods of statistical data processing and experimental data analysis, neural network data processing methods, and wavelet transformations. It is shown that it is advisable to use the Kohonen network in classifying solutions found by the overlapping domain decomposition method and to use a multilayer perceptron and a radial basis neural network for function approximation and regularity identification in microwave measurement data processing. The results obtained may serve as information-methodological support at the next research stages.
