Registration Date 14-01-2022 Organization Institute of Ionosphere popup.description2 We present the results of experimental and model studies of variations in ionospheric plasma parameters, in particular, the results of measuring the vertical component of the ionospheric plasma drift velocity using the IS radar and analyzing its altitude-temporal variations for different seasons of the year and the states of space weather. The results of the study of dynamic processes in the ionosphere under conditions of disturbances in the ionosphere caused by geospace storms of a different nature are presented. The results of the study of wave processes in the mid-latitude ionosphere, in particular, the parameters and features of the propagation of traveling ionospheric disturbances over Ukraine during the equinox and solstice periods under conditions of low solar activity are presented. The results of the equipment modernization, development and improvement of algorithms and programs for processing measurement data, which enabled expanding the capabilities of the radar and increasing the reliability of obtaining information about the near-Earth space are described. The results of investigations are used to develop and refine the regional model of the ionosphere and can be used in basic studies of solar-terrestrial relationships and geospace, to solve applied problems related to the effect of ionospheric plasma on telecommunications systems, the operation of satellite equipment in outer space and the accuracy of geopositioning systems.  Product Description popup.authors Emelyanov Leonid Ya.
