The adaptive capacity of plants has been assessed and mechanisms of the resilience in the face of fast-changing environmental conditions were elucidated. Problematic aspects of taxonomy of certain representaties of genera Thymus (Lamiaceae) and Anthurium (Araceae) have been explored. For genus Thymus there was described new nothovariey. There have been analyzed the links between the effects of the studied compounds on mitochondrial oxidation of acinary cells of pancreas and their viability.
