The purpose of the work - to analyze the existing methodological support for the calculation of indicators of scientific and technical projects of promising space systems, to determine areas for improvement; development of mathematical models for calculating the technical level of promising samples of rocket and space technology and calculating the cost of research and development work on the creation of samples of rocket and space technology. Research methods: methods of systems analysis, graph theory, fuzzy set theory, theory of possibilities, method of analysis of hierarchies, method of component analogy and methods of computational mathematics. Results of work: the national methods and methodical recommendations operating in Ukraine on calculation of expected expenses for performance of research and development works are analyzed; the analysis of the existing methodical maintenance of calculations of technical and economic indicators of scientific and technical projects of space systems is carried out; the directions of improvement of the existing methodical maintenance of calculations of indicators of scientific and technical projects of space systems are defined; mathematical models for calculating the technical level and calculating the cost of research and development work on the creation of samples of rocket and space technology have been developed. The mathematical models developed in this paper are a new methodological and informational support for the analysis of innovative areas and support for management decisions on the development of Ukraine's rocket and space potential. The mathematical models developed at the first stage of work will be used at the next stage for development of the corresponding computational algorithms.
