Particular attention is paid to the study of vertebrate and invertebrate species of animals, higher plants, their populations in the nature reserve "Roztochchya" and the development of scientific foundations of systemic conservation. Abnormal phenomenon for the Roztocze region was the absence of meteorological winter. Short-term cooling lasted 2-3 days, the lowest temperatures -7.60C and -120C were observed on January 7 and February 8, respectively. The average daily temperature in January was + 1.1˚С which is 3.2˚С more than the norm, and in December and February + 3.0˚С which is 5.5˚С more than the norm. According to the results of floristic research in 2020, 22 species of rare plants were identified, mapped, and botanically described at 44 new sites, including 18 new habitats of 11 species of the Red Book of Ukraine. During 2020, a method of automatic fixation of mammals with the use of photo traps was tested, which confirmed the permanent presence of Alces alces in the tract "Zalivky", which photo traps were registered during September-November. Entomologists have identified 69 species of bees and 19 species of aspens in the reserve. The paper contains developed environmental measures for the reclamation of anthropogenically altered lands in the biosphere reserve and strategies for adaptation to climate change based on ecosystems.
