The system of monitoring working conditions and prevention of adverse effects of production factors on the functional state of the body of miners has been improved, taking into account the need for them to perform their professional duties in the zone of armed conflict in eastern Ukraine. Quantitative characteristics of occupational risk in the conditions of episodic influence of harmful factors are determined. Conclusions. In the zone of armed conflict in eastern Ukraine, there is a potential possibility of increased danger to life and health of rescuers in the direct performance of their professional duties at the facilities they serve in the aftermath of emergencies. Adaptive reserves of the body of rescuers are reduced: 11% of surveyed workers had signs of acute stress, 12.3% - chronic stress, and another 11% - intense activation response.
